Standard cleaning misses biofilm. UV-fluorescence reveals what white light can't see. EPA-registered antimicrobials eliminate what standard cleaning can't kill. We prove it with InstaScope data.
Biofilm is a structured community of microorganisms — bacteria, mold, and other pathogens — encased in a self-produced protective matrix. Inside HVAC systems, biofilm colonizes duct surfaces, drain pans, cooling coils, and AHU components, creating a persistent reservoir of contamination that standard cleaning cannot eliminate.
Unlike planktonic (free-floating) microorganisms, biofilm is up to 1,000 times more resistant to antimicrobials. Standard duct cleaning may remove visible debris while leaving biofilm colonies intact — and those colonies will re-contaminate your air within days.
Our VD-FID ductoscope uses dual-wavelength UV (365nm and 405nm) to cause biofilm to fluoresce — revealing colonies that are completely invisible under white light. We document every location with video before treatment begins.
We use EPA-registered hospital-grade antimicrobials specifically formulated to penetrate biofilm matrix. Mechanical agitation breaks up the protective layer before antimicrobial application — ensuring full penetration and elimination.
Dual-wavelength UV fluorescence scan reveals all biofilm colonies with video documentation.
Controlled mechanical agitation breaks up biofilm matrix to expose colonies to antimicrobial.
